Type of steel and characteristics:
Cr-Ni-Mo alloyed hot work tool steel with high temperature impact toughness and thermal fatigue strength, resistant to repeated shocks, high resistant to tempering, medium wear resistance, oil and air hardening with good through hardenability, low P and S content, polish able. Suitable for pitting and chrome plating.
Applications:
Dies, including those of very large size; tools for rod and tube extrusion; forming dies; bending and embossing tools: plastic moulds.
